The Homeless Management Information System is a community collaboration that provides case management and tracking of homeless people and people seeking assistance from social service agencies in our community. The system allows agencies to coordinate services they provided through a Web database. This project helps clients, too, by allowing agencies to maximize their resources. It also ensures there is no duplication of services and prevents clients from "working the system."

Currently, more than 10 social service agencies are managing clients through the Victoria Area Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). We hope that 10 additional agencies will be added over the next 12 months.
